‘COUNTRY TO COAST’
Sunday 20th March, opening event 2pm,
( although; we are open all day)
featuring works by Joanna Burgler and Maria Heaton.
From now on l have decided to give each exhibition a name; (a focus) and have a feature artist or two, it will still remain a group exhibition with a wondrous display in a variety of mediums from artists and makers throughout our region.
There will nibbles and refreshments creating a relaxed environment for you and yours. New handmade gifts and a treasure trove of vintage delights to inspire while you soak up the extraordinary talent on show. Please make the time if not at the opening soon after to support our artists & makers as they are all a part of our wider community
l have included a little about our feature artists here;
Joanna Burgler’s work depicts the light, lifestyle and landscape of this country telling of seasonal extremes and the unknown past. Internationally and nationally collected for photo-realist oil paintings of old cars, sheds, water-tanks, windmills, boats, ropes and water landscapes.
Joanna is an award winning Contemporary Australian Artist, born in Canberra ACT who has lived and worked on the Far North Coast of New South Wales for the last 25 years. You will now find her in her Waterlines Studio Gallery in Coraki.

Maria Heaton’s open love of life, people and her surrounds; coast and country is expressed through her land and seascapes.
With her home beginning to resemble an art studio and needing more space, Maria opened Ballina’s first commercial art studio where she ran classes, sold supplies and received commissions for private art works. After several years in that shop Maria decided yet again that she needed more space for teaching and relocated to a larger studio where she has continued to teach.
Over the years Maria has developed a fine foundation of skills in acrylic and oil and has shared her knowledge with countless students.
